On the use of topological constraints within object recognition tasks

چکیده
The context of this contribution is the recognition and localization of a priori known 3D objects from single intensity images. The most difficult task is to establish appropriate correspondences between model and image features. The ranking of correspondences typically is based on properties of the features themselves as well as relations between the features. Useful relations can be derived from the topology of model features. This contribution focuses on the improvement of an existing object recognition system using binary topological constraints on model and image lines. A propagation mechanism decreases the impact of broken image lines on the underlying topological relations. Experiments with several objects show the usability of the proposed approach.

Urban Vegetation Recognition Based on the Decision Level Fusion of Hyperspectral and Lidar Data
Introduction: Information about vegetation cover and their health has always been interesting to ecologists due to its importance in terms of habitat, energy production and other important characteristics of plants on the earth planet. Nowadays, developments in remote sensing technologies caused more remotely sensed data accessible to researchers. The combination of these data improves the obje...
متن کاملThe 16th Meeting on Image Recognition and Understanding RGB-D based 3D-Object Recognition by LLC using Depth Spatial Pyramid
Recently, high-accuracy RGB-D cameras are commertially available, which are capable of providing high quality three dimension information (color and depth). In this paper, we propose an object recognition method where the techniques of object recognition in 2D are extended to 3D. Recent image classification systems mainly consist of the following three parts: feature extraction using scaleinvar...
متن کاملApplication of Combined Local Object Based Features and Cluster Fusion for the Behaviors Recognition and Detection of Abnormal Behaviors
In this paper, we propose a novel framework for behaviors recognition and detection of certain types of abnormal behaviors, capable of achieving high detection rates on a variety of real-life scenes. The new proposed approach here is a combination of the location based methods and the object based ones. First, a novel approach is formulated to use optical flow and binary motion video as the loc...
متن کاملOn exponentiable soft topological spaces
An object $X$ of a category $mathbf{C}$ with finite limits is called exponentiable if the functor $-times X:mathbf{C}rightarrow mathbf{C}$ has a right adjoint. There are many characterizations of the exponentiable spaces in the category $mathbf{Top}$ of topological spaces. Here, we study the exponentiable objects in the category $mathbf{STop}$ of soft topological spaces which is a generalizati...
